ABOUT
Design Hound combines a modern architectural aesthetic with a high-level of customer service. The idea for this type of practice has evolved since Kevin Stewart began his architectural studies over 20 years ago and has been put into practice developing design-forward homes, restaurants, offices, retail spaces and multi-family developments in the central Texas area since 2005. In the spring of 2015, Liz Rau joined the firm, bringing an additional 17 years of large-scale commercial, multi-family, and residential experience to the firm. Born and raised in Texas, both Kevin and Liz have strong ties to its communities, traditions and history while standing out as thought-leaders in design and how it can positively impact our lives.
Architecture is, ultimately, a practice of problem solving through design. Design Hound begins each project by developing a thorough understanding of the client, their needs, and the site. Once that is established, the project team draws from their experiences in professional practice and in life, to create an elegant solution. Clean forms, warm materials and details are incorporated from conception and allow for an aesthetic that is thoughtful, intriguing, and ultimately… comfortable.
